Default 3041 * New Member with a Mark II going to Auction

    Hi Lincoln Forum,
I feel very privileged to be able to connect with this community. We have had a 1956 Lincoln Continental Mark II in the family for 35 years. My father was a member of the LCOC for almost as long. I just wanted to let the community know that we are sending our Lincoln to auction in Toronto (Canada), this Saturday April 30th, as part of an estate sale. My father use to show it around the Great Lakes Region, and once in Hershey Pennsylvania. It has been in storage for a number of years now, so starting to show it's age, however, it has only 54K original miles, and my father was the second owner. If you would like to check it out, or know of anyone who is interested in acquiring one, you can find the information at the Collector Car Productions Spring Auction in Toronto, Ontario at : https://www.collectorcarproductions....037&EventID=93 Thanks everyone, Leslea.

Default Most likely 3041 F/S Canada Auction Duke Family

The car listed for auction is most likely 3041.
Here's the link to that history:
    http://www.markiiforum.com/showthrea...highlight=Duke

"The example presented here comes from the estate of an owner who was very passionate about these very special automobiles. He was the second person to have the car from new and had always considered himself more as a caretaker than an owner. As such, it shows well from the meticulous attention it has received through the years. An older restoration that can still hold its head high on a show field, this wonderful vehicle exudes all of the elegance and optimism of post war America. I was at the auction in Toronto, this is vin 3041 with a body tag of 965
The carpet tag was in place but didn't have a name engrved on it
    It leaked oil and gas
The body had a lot of bubbling of the paint
It is a non a/c car
It needs a complete restoration but seemed to run nicely
The car was complete and still had the original hood liner in place.
