Did you find your Mark II, or did it find you?

I wasn't specifically looking for one, but after missing out on a white '56 in Mass last summer which I found while casually searching Craigslist for any classic cars, I started paying more attention to the Mark II. Then low and behold the jalopy known as 3737 reared its ugly head for a second time on craigslist but now with a much better price, I had to pull the trigger on it.

So, to answer my question: My Mark II found me, but so far I'm very happy it did despite the inevitable gaping hole in my pocket.
3737 is on CL now for $2300 https://nwct.craigslist.org/cto/d/19...341943868.html

I didn't make a penny on the sale, as I didn't buy it to flip it, but instead (as evidenced by my passion to restore it) I bought it with the best of intentions for it.

The buyer seemed to share that passion, and it truly a nice guy, but I fear he too may have found himself with a similar assessment.

I'd beg of someone to take this car and if not restore it, at least let its parts keep other MKII's on the road. If I could buy it back and store it in a bubble out of the way of everything else I own, I would, but that's just not feasible.

Best of luck to the new buyer/owner.
