Default initials on parts by assembly line worker

on the underside of the instrument cowling on the dashboard I noticed the initials FP. It is in the same red color as the car. This car was originally a FORD department car C56A1773 so this was not the owners initials I guess. Also the name plate on the transmission tunnel had no name on it and it's original as it the carpet.

I may have solved my own mystery. The initial FP may have stood for FORD PARTS, which is the department to which this car was assigned/owned according to the registry.
    Any other theories?
