Hi all... rolled the Mark out after 8 years....this time it got to the lift and ain't comin' down 'til its done....

I took the gas tank off to clean and inspect and looks real nice but the wire got smacked and appears to be almost broken at the resistor/condensor. Any one know of replacement or have one? This thing mounts with a screw on the
resistor/condensor and about the size of a AA battery and wire end is a slip-on connector. Car is a 1956.
Thx
Duke

Duke, its a noise suppression condenser for the radio. There's a similar one on the oil pressure sender unit on the engine. The bimetallic electrical contacts in the fuel level and oil pressure sender units open and closes continuously causing radio frequencies that affect radio reception. You don't strictly need the noise suppression capacitors for the fuel level and oil pressure to work.

The unit on my oil pressure sending had a broken wire (like yours), after a lot of searching I got something very similar from;

https://www.ebay.com/itm/1941-1948-Ford-Fuel-Sender-Radio-Noise-Suppressor-NOS-11A-18825-A/292596881274?epid=28020257617&hash=item442022177a:g:qP0AAOSwBfRbGulN

Or just search "Ford Fuel Sender Radio Noise Suppressor" in Ebay and you'll get lots of likely looking hits.
