For those who are interested:
https://www.classiccarratings.com/

This website makes it easier to track auction results and values. Enjoy.
In some cases, buyer's premium is not included. Add 10% for the out the door price.
Most bids are even numbers as: $45,000 out the door is $49,500.
If the price ends in a weird number, like $46,200, the bid was $42,000 with a 4,200 (10%) buyers premium. Out the door $46,200.

Update: 6/1/19
Here's another site:
http://thebidwatcher.com/auctions

results all the way back to 2008; enter "1956-1957" "Lincoln" or "Continental" in the text box

3/15/21 here's one more site

John,

This is an interesting data base. Unfortunately, I don't see any commentary on the condition of the cars being offered/sold and no information on the serial number so that the car can be cross referenced on this website.

One might draw the conclusion that most Mark II's are selling in the high thirties to low forties. Actually, I heard that comment that this past weekend. Those in the know realize that there is a huge differential between a nice driver and a correctly restored or well preserved original Mark II.

Brian:

Hey! Condition and cross-referencing are issues for sure. If you use this forum's search box in the upper right hand corner, you can usually search on the auction company, lot number and venue for any additional info we may have. It's not easy, but we do a pretty good job of cross referencing when possible. Very best regards, John
