The weather kinda broke in the motor city and I was able to roll the girl out to get the engine number!!!
It's 265 and I believe that's the engine it came with. Hopefully the experts agree??? Thanks

Since 1254 minus 265 equals 989; 989 is in the acceptable range. Yours is the original engine. John

Hello Bill

I'm a new member and have posted a new member notification with 3 VIN numbers of the cars we have.

I have 3 Continental MKIIs to register here in the UK. They are all new additions to a car collection that I look after.

Can you tell me please where exactly I can find the engine number.

I was searching on the engines and found ECU6015A at the back of the engine by the distributor on one car, then I checked the second car found the identical number so it can not be the engine number, just a part number.

Your help would be very much appreciated as you have located yours.

Thank you
Barrie

Barrie:
Welcome. As an interim answer to your question. At the top of the engine, near the distribution where you saw the "ECU6015A" there is a "dot" after the "A"; the engine number could be perpendicular to that "dot". If you can't see it, it could have been painted over and need to scraping to reveal the number.
Good luck.
John
