Hello, fellow car nuts. Iím a new member from Southwest New Mexico. I donít have a Continental but my Dad does in Arizona. Itís a beautiful pearl white custom 57í Mark II with a more modern motor and trans. I was looking through this site yesterday and thought Iíd join up. Iím a forum member on www.thesamba.com and have a 73í Volkswagen Thing. I get harassed to no end by my Dad about my love for VWs but really I just love cars. He has this love for ALL things Chevy. So, of course I harass him about his Continental and his T-Bucket hot rod (which is now sold). I may end up with the Continental one day but Iíd rather keep him around longer. He doesnít drive much but is currently building a 33í Duesenberg hot rod anyway.

I am going to be in Arizona this Thanksgiving and hope to put some miles on this. Does anyone here know this car?

Welcome aboard. No reason you and dad can't both have a Mark II. They're out there for sale in all sorts of conditions. The hunt can be half the fun.

And don't let him get to you about the Thing--you're not the only one on this Forum that's got a Thing...mine is a '74 Acapulco.;)

I have returned from our trip to visit my Dad over Thanksgiving and we did put a few miles on this car. It is #3536 and, WOW, what a great car. However; all the pictures I took are erased from my digital camera. Cars, I understand. Building and Construction, I understand. Little devices like my new digital camera, I do NOT understand apparently. The Continental has a saddle tan colored leather interior and is not two-tone. I hope to have pictures from him soon to replace the ones I lost.
