Hello All,

I've owned this MK II for about five years now and just now found this forum. The VIN is C56G3156. I grew up in a very rural area so we never saw, nor could anyone afford, such a car. I've been a car nut since I was about 5 and remember seeing these cars in magazines. They represented the ultimate in luxury to me. I waited for years for a white on white MK II to find me. It did during Hot August Nights in Reno and followed me home.

Welcome. You'll find a wealth of knowledge and help here.
I've added your name to the Registry. Your car's survivor status was unknown... until now

Hey Keith,

Welcome to the forum. You'll find it quite useful and informative. I purchase my Mark II last year. It's black with a two toned grey interior. I live in Athens. What part of Georgia are you in?

I'm about 25 miles north of you, just above Commerce.

Welcome aboard. I just posted in the Registery what I have on your car (updated with what you have provided). Please post any additional information that you might have (like Nameplate info) or any corrections that need to be made.

Keith: It's a great place to hang out-virtually everything about a MkII is fair game. Have fun!!

Welcome to the forum fun Keith. It's nice to know another forum member in the South. I live in North Anderson County so you, Kevin Garrison and myself are within a fairly tight radius here. This sight seems to become part of who we are as MK lovers so have fun.

@ xxrtman
From a post elsewhere:
A deviation from original during the resto is the white paint was done in a Cadillac color "Diamond White". It looks great with it's deep pearl sheen,

HA! I thought I had the only one painted with this GM White Diamond pearlescent paint (my choice). IMO if any car is truly enhanced with this color, it is the Mark II with all its rounded surfaces and deep valleys.

There are at least 3 now. Mine's the same pearlescent white from GM. Love it!

Make that 4! Just before I got mine it was painted a white pearl, looks the same.
