During the restoration of my 1956 Mark II, the restoration shop lost/misplaced the Drive Shaft Bearing Housing (don't know if that is the correct name for this part). Does anyone know where I can get a replacement Housing?

Your restoration shop should locate/refurnish the replacement.
Try Jack Rosen at Mark II Enterprises

John, thanks for responding to my request. I have already searched the Mark II Enterprises on-line catalog; he has the Bearing but does not show the Housing.

I think you are referring to the universal joint yolk.
One yolk attaches to the drive shaft and the other to the spline of the rear axle. Call and speak to Jack. He has parts cars which have used parts. Not every used part Jack has is listed on line. If he doesn't have it, he'll know where to get it. Call him.
Or have your restoration shop call him.
Good luck.
OBTW, those drive shafts need to be reassembled the same way they came off the car. Otherwise, they could be out of balance and you could have excessive vibration.

John, thanks. I will call Jack at Mark II Enterprises tomorrow. And, I will make sure that the restoration shop reassemblies the Drive Shaft the way that it came off.

I just ordered the Drive Shaft Bearing Support/Bracket from Jack Rosen at Mark II Enterprises. He has to remove it from a parts car. I also ordered the rubber housing for the Bearing that he manufactures and guarantees for a lifetime. As usual, his parts are not the least expensive.
John, Thanks for the suggestion.

You are most welcome. There is nothing inexpensive about a Continental. These cars are around 69 years old.
At least we have a community where parts are still readily available. Glad your problem is solved. Thanks for this feedback. Good luck on your restoration.
