For Sale
1957 Continental Mark II serial number 56K3376, body number 1293AC, engine number 2394 paint 56C, trim 246, 30313 miles. Originally sold to Alice E Adams by Miami Lincoln Mercury, Miami FL. This car has spent most of its life in dry storage. Henry Clark purchased the car from Alice Adams in 1969 and drove it occasionally until the early seventies when it was stored in a warehouse. In late 1979 he sold the warehouse and had the car repainted and re-upholstered and in 1983 he listed it for sale. Unable to sell it he returned the car to storage until I purchased it in 1996. The car has a couple of scrapes and dings but is solid and very complete. I have repair and service invoices that document the milage. I have rebuilt the carb and brakes. The car runs smooth but as you would expect, needs most systems reworked. This car has factory air conditioning. The original owner?s manual and original copy of ?The Continental Story? are included in the sale. I am listing the car here exclusively hoping an enthusiast will give it the restoration it deserves. I will gladly answer any questions and provide photos or videos to anyone interested. I am asking $20,000, please PM me for further information.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION:
(1) 3/2/2014 Contributed by Forum Member Richard Pannell, Huntsville, Alabama - I really only joined to make it known this car exists. I am posting this story as i heard it from my father, the story i got from him was:
This car was purchased in Miami FL, (true) by a Ms. Adams, wife of the CEO of IT&T or whatever tellegraph and phone company was around then. the car made its way to Memphis, TN by details that i forgot.
My uncles drinking buddy acquired the car somehow, had it painted and the seats interior redone to the original colors. this was in the early/mid 90s.
i believe his name was sonny, he tried to sell the car for in the teens but had no offers and was pressured to move it out of the carport by his wife. my uncle ended up buying the car because he didn't want to see it sold for pennies to a stranger. so upon buying my dad arranged to have it picked up and brought here to huntsville, al so he could fix a few things and store it. this was in the later 90s
my father had a stuck valve looked at by a local machinist, the car has 36k miles on it and upon pulling the head confirmed the cleanliness of the motor.
since the 2000s my dad built a shop, and has this car stored in it since then. my uncle that acquired the car has since passed. and my father hasn't had time to finish his old ford projects since me and my brother turned 16 and started racing with the Sports car club of America. ( his projects 56 ford 2dr hard top and an earlier 50s convertible.)
My father mentioned selling the car to someone who could care for and appreciate it. I of course started looking around online to fine similar examples to get a ball park price and stumbled on this site and figured i would at least show that this car does exist.

Hello Mr. Pannell I just saw this. I was busy rebuilding my 57 . So all I looked at on the site was how to fix things. Is the car still for sale?
