I work at American Gasser Custom Hot Rod Shop in Michigan and we are currently restoring a light blue 1956 Mark II. It is a two tone blue interior but I?m looking to see if anyone knows the paint code or something close for the blue dash interior pieces. Thank you for any help!

Paint codes do no good as the materials used in the codes are no longer available. It seems every paint shop has a guy that does color matching better than a computer. Where are you in Michigan?

We are located in Saginaw. We did take camera shots of the seat colors that got redone and came up with a color that matches pretty close to the material

Other than a few members owning the OEM sales sample book that gives actual fabric and leather samples based on the code, SMS Auto Fabrics has that book and were able to provide me with spot on samples and they are the only ones who have the Matellase used in the Continental and Lincoln cars of that vintage.

I have a bolt of SMS's red Matellase, and it is, indeed spot-on. I bought it when I thought I was going to restore my #2864. Oh, well!
