Hello, I would like to reupholster my 56. My car is light blue and all the pictures I find are white and blue interiors. Mine is a lighter blue on darker blue and appears to be original

SMS should have the material for the interior but you still need a upholster to cut & fit

Your car has the interior trim code 1A1A what means light blue seat biscuits, light blue door and armrest biscuits and light blue seat welts with the rest in mid blue.
Your interior seems to be original.

Your car was previously owned by George Masters who owned an upholstery shop. George may have refurbished your front seat bolsters with vinyl. Originally they would have been leather. In any event, I cannot tell the difference in your picture. It will be very expensive to recover those seats with full hides (without seams). My suggestion would be to drive it and enjoy it as is. If you're after an award winning 100 point car, it can get very expensive very quickly. Good luck. John

Those seats and colors are beautiful. Why the change?
goes double for me. I wouldn't change a thing.

I am a new owner of a 56 Mark II with same interior trim codes 1A1A.
See my profile for more info for my car on BaT.
I'd like to see picture of more of your interior to compare to mine.
Thanks

I called Bridge of Weir in I believe in England and you can order it from them but the customs might be a bit tuff to swallow. I was able to get it locally here in Fl, it cost me $200.00 to install and it was superb. I need to find a new battery for my mark ii if anyone knows a manufacture

I have talked with the people in Europe, Scotland, i misplaced there number, before I had my 56 mark ii reupholstered. Even then when they sent me the color swathes from there they weren't the same color exactly. Bridge of Weir co. To order from them you will have to deal with Customs and the tariffs thingee and taxes or just keep shopping. The red in my car was really Burgandy but the swatches didn't even match and they were the original makers of the interior. Then there is the customs fee and taxes and shipping big headache. I was never in a car show they asked the color of my seats. Now just do the best you can. I had my car in the Amilia Island Fl show and that was not ever brought up. I came in st place in my category. Lots of luck hunting.
