Hi. My power steering pump reservoir is not horizontal like I see in other pics online. It's installed on a pretty severe angle, enough that I can't get the fluid up to the fill line without it spilling over onto the motor. I see a little adjustment can be made to level it a little bit but not enough to make it horizontal. Can the reservoir be rotated without moving the pump support bracket?

Thanks

I didn’t think it could be installed incorrectly, but it is. I believe the bracket it mounts to might be flipped over.

Good morning Barry. Are you saying that there is a bracket that holds the reservoir to the pump support bracket? Remove the reservoir, flip this bracket over and that will make it horizontal?

I think, there is a bracket missing in your car.

The power steering pump is mounted on two brackets, one belongs to the engine and one belongs to the pump.

The bracket that belongs to the engine is missing in your car and has been replaced by the spacers. So, the bracket of the pump is mounted 2‘‘ to farr in the middle.

To compensate for this, someone probably mounted a significant shorter belt

You have no motor bracket and your pump bracket is wrong, too. Mark II enterprises or Lincolnland likely has both. And yes, you'll need a longer belt. It was also used on Lincoln 368 engines, I believe.

Good catch.

I have spare pumps, both Eaton and Vickers. I might possibly have what you need.

Vickers. Small pump reservoir with that style pulley is a dead give away. The MarkII came with both, at least according to the authenticity manual. 56-57 Lincoln had an Eaton pump with a bigger reservoir, smaller pulley.

If you have the pump bracket and the engine bracket, I'd be interested in both
