    Default A/C Ideas

Any thought or ideas on after market AC systems that look good and work good...front or trunk mounted...not crazy about those under dash mounted units...they are pretty ugly and really no where under the dash to mount it.

Unlike the Mark II's factory A/C where the vents were mounted in the ceiling. Most vehicles of the period had A/C units mounted in the trunk. Old Air Products does offer several trunk mounted aftermarket units. https://www.oldairproducts.com/produ...c-41259432f635

I have no experience with the product or the company. Hope this information might be of help to you.

Also, you might call Classic Air Auto of Tampa, Florida.
Ask them for options and related prices and what their
    Recommendation is.

The a/c vents in the headliner is possible. C56A1735 had them installed. The back seat has to be modified. I have no idea how much that costs, but my best guess is expensive. Good luck.

The current owner of 1735 remains a mystery. It is rumored that a black comedian bought it off Al Davenport who originally had the vents installed. Al Davenport might still be a member of this forum. Try to contact Al and ask him how he did it. Al had the nostrils brazed in the fender--the whole bit. You'd never know by looking that 1735 was built as a non-AC car-- unless you look at the body tag.
    Good luck.
