Default X2 Project continental's sold on ebay

I've been hunting around for a MkII for a little while and lurking on this forum for even shorter but unfortunately most of the ones in reach ended being total basket cases.

These 2 a 56 and 57 sold as a set just sold on ebay for the princely sum of $1281. The amount of parts left I think make it worth it. Unfortunately these were way to much a project for me but maybe one will make it back on the road somehow.

I hope you're right about one of them making it back on the road but unless the black car has a solid frame and the purchaser has more money than they know what to do with, I don't see it unless the black one is a "clean sheet of paper" for a restomod. Just one man's opinion.

For sale is a very rare 1956 Ford Continental project, not a Lincoln.
Its time to reduce the number of projects.
Continentals were only built in 56 and 57 and only 1,325 1956 Continentals were manufactured. It is estimated that only less than 1,500 1956 and 1957 Continentals may still exist out of 3,005 manufactured.
This was the most expensive American car in 1956 and rated one of 25 most beautifully designed cars ever built.
A great investment car when restored.
Car has rust in the usual places and needs mostly body restoration.
The car is about 98% complete.
Car starts and drives, but needs a rebuilt master cylinder and power booster.
Interior is in very good condition for its age.
Please call if interested for more details.
