Default Porcelain Intake and Exhaust manifolds question

1984 has porcelain coated intake and exhaust manifolds which the coating looks period applied. Understanding that the original owner was the wife of an advertising magnate makes me believe that it is doubtful she was into customizing. Has anyone else seen this coating on another MKII from the factory?

Mark IIs came with a high temperature paint that burned off leading some to have their exhaust and intakes porcelain-coated. I don't believe any came from the factory that way.

I guess with a talented mechanic and enough time and money that would have been done in the field.

    Thanks

Porcelain coatings would be required that the manifolds be sent out. Changing them in the field would be no big deal. 4 hours work, tops.
