Default 1304 Lost in the 50's Museum, Newcastle, Australia

Well, today our car club visited friends new museum, LOST IN THE 50,S in nearby suburb of Newcastle Sydney Aust. The owner is deeply passionate about mid 50,s to 60 cars of all makes and memoribilia of the actual dailey living items in that period, Only open by appt once a month is certainly not a money making venture. I actually brought my 60 premier landau from him and didnt know he had this MKII, so was quite a supprise! so i thought i would forward its details. It is C5691304, it has all cream interior everywhere and fresh metallic burgundy paint both of which look redone. and A/C. One feature that caught my eye was a clock in center of steering wheel, glenn thought it was dealer offered accessory, not option! but couldnt verify that. So for the record it now belongs to Glenn Jennings of Newcastle Australia and resides in his museum. Hope these 3 pics turn out as i used my phone and not too good. P.S not to get too far off outr subjects but he has 60 mercury, 58 urnpike, plymouth, desoto, edsel, buick, pontiac, corvette etc about 70 cars all from 51 -60 and low milage cars with incredible interiors. regards bill.

Default 1183 in Autoworld Museum, Brussels, Belgium * Mahy Collection

Here's a big thank you to Barry Wolk for sending current information on this car.

The car originally exported to Qatar and returned because it had no air conditioning and for about a decade owned by Roger Zimmerman's friend, Theo Rais, is now owned by the Mahy family in Belgium. It is on display at the Autoworld Museum in Brussels.

The Mahy collection consists of nearly 1,000 cars of which 200 are at the Autoworld Museum.

Here are links to the Autoworld website and our updated history on our registry

A special request to Roger Zimmerman. If possible could you ask Mr. Rais for any other information that he has on the history of this car?

I will try; it seems that for the moment Theo is not very cooperative; he may be busy with his swap meet from March.

There is one in Auto World Museum in Fulton, MO. I tried to get the serial number but it was too tightly wedged in. Non-original color, as I recall.

Does this car have rear fender skirts or was the rear wheel well reshaped during restoration?

Default 3443 - Nostalgia Vintage Car Museum, Hollister, CA

The Nostalgia Vintage Car Museum features the only permanent display of Graham-Paiges in the world. The collections also includes Ford, Thunderbird, Lincoln Continentals, Vintage Fords, Chevrolets and a rare 1925 Flint Touring Sedans. All automobiles in the collection are maintained in fully operational condition. The 9,000 square foot museum is located on the San Andreas Fault Line and is part of the oldest existing winery in California.

Featured in the collection is Mark II #3443 which museum owners believe was owned by Doris Day. According the museum curator Chris Guinn, this car, when purchased in the mid 60's had a brass plate which had "Doris Day" engraved on it. However, the plate has been lost and unfortunately the museum has no other documentation supporting Miss Day's ownership of the car.
