That’s a hard no. SAE 30 wt with Zinc additive is what youll need for it. 5w30 is not thick enough for the tolerances this engine has and it does not contain an anti-wear additive for the camshaft. To make an “Autozone” concoction for suitable use see if you can find an SAE 30 or SAE 40 oil. If not, 15w40 diesel oil works in a pinch. Get a bottle Lucas oil break in additive and add all of it in with the oil.

I use Brad Penn Straight 30 weight with Zinc additive in all their products. I use it in my stationary generator, too.

Is the oil called "Lucas Oil SAE 30 High Zinc Engine Break-In Oil or Brad Penn Oil 30W Engine Break-in Oil" what I should be using. I'd like to use an all in one product and add additives. Thanks

Unless it’s a new engine, use regular oil. No need for break-in oil. Zero need for additives if you use an oil with zinc, really. Zero need for winter weights, unless you drive it in the winter. Use an oil formulated with zinc and your engine will be fine.
