    Default Data Plate error

Check this out. This car is for sale in St Louis

It's had a color change and most likely the interior was re done when It was painted Maroon.

Hey, Pat, What do you think happened here for it to have D56 instead of the correct C56?

A presso rather than a typo? There was no DSO for this car.

Were these machine-made, Pat? Hand press?

I believe they were stamped (don't know what type of press) on the line. "D" instead of "C" & other stamping errors happened more than once.

I would have thought that the "C56" dies would have been permanently set up, but apparently not.
