Does anybody know exactly what info was stamped on the Transmission ID Tags? Looks like it should have 2 sets of Alpha/numeric id's. Anyone have a picture?
I'm having one made, since mine is missing, but I'm sot sure what was on it to begin with.

Vin #1984's tag was as shown below.

There also was a number written on the bottom as shown below- no idea what that number represented but this car was so original that I truly believe the transmission had never been out of the car before so I assume it came from factory- but can anyone else give an opinion on what it represents?

the number on the left is the same as shown in the restoration guild, makes since the right side they show as 40-xxxxx which coincides with your comment.
