As all of you know, there are not too many parts available at your local parts supplier for a 1956 Continental. when you live in rural Nova Scotia, there are even less than none. So we often improvise. I am not building a car here that is going to be judged for points, so I can save a little by finding modern parts that work, while not making the changes obvious. Here is the comparison shots of the 2002 Dodge Ram Steady bearing that works on a 56 Continental with a very minor change of extending one of the brackets of the frame by one inch.
