I received the details from the Daniel's auction from Russ Upton, today. It appears that 44 cars went up for auction and 34 sold. It looks like most of the ones that were not sold were classified as "5" (Parts Car) or "Hulk". I also found the auctioneer's report. I will cross-reference the two.

This will be available to all, soon.

388 CLASSIC LINCOLNS TO BE SOLD AT TEXAS AUCTION
    The Florida Collector Car Auction

The world’s largest Lincoln car collection will go under the hammer on February 20-23, 2003 in Pampa, Texas. RM Classic Cars has been appointed by the Estate of eccentric oil man J.C. Daniels to auction, entirely without reserve, a mind-boggling hoard of Lincolns many of which appear to be in excellent and usable condition.

    Included are 130 4-door Continentals, 47 rare Continentals MK II’s, 33 4-door convertibles, 42 Lincolns from the 1950’s, 8 mid-1940’s Continentals and 6 pre-war Lincoln Zephyrs.

Individual cars comprise movie star Gene Tierney’s restored 1941 Lincoln Zephyr convertible, a 1962 Presidential parade-style 4-door convertible, a 1922 Lincoln Sedan and a 1938 Lincoln “K” V-12 Willoughby limousine. Speaking of limos, RM will also sell eight of those, ranging in years from 1959 to 1971.

Former Lincoln/Mercury dealer J.C. Daniels, who passed away last year was at one time the region’s largest retailer for the expensive Continental MK II cars when they were new in 1956. J.C.’s collecting obsession stayed with him to the very end – according to the Estate Administrator, he bought three final Lincolns from his hospital bed that were delivered the week after he died, much to the surprise of his widow!

    Default More about J.C. Daniels

"J.C. Daniels’ success in business had modest beginnings – very much in the American tradition of a typical “rags to riches” scenario.

As a 16 year old in 1937, his sister got him a job at the Pampa City swimming pool as a life guard, to which he would ride each day on his bicycle from his home town of Vernon, Texas. That fall he moved to Pampa and ceased his public education by taking a job at the body shop of Tom Rose Motors, the local Ford dealership. Soon he opened his own body and radiator repair business that he ran in the evenings after his day job at Rose Motors...

For the next few years he toiled at both the jobs, putting away as much money as he could. One day in the late 1930’s, he knocked on Mr. Rose’s door and boldly asked if he could buy his dealership...(instead) Mr. Rose helped young Daniels acquire the local Lincoln/Mercury dealership! When he returned to Pampa in 1946 after a south Pacific stint with the army he found himself in one of Texas’ many oil-boom periods, a state which helped to establish his Lincoln/Mercury dealership as the largest in the Ford Motor Company’s regional division.

In 1956 he sold and placed orders for 13 Continental MK II’s, Lincoln’s most expensive model, but Ford would only supply him with three cars. Daniels later made up for this disappointment

In 1961 J.C. Daniels sold his Lincoln/Mercury dealership and got into the oil business. Now a wealthy man, he returned to his first love of Lincolns in the 1970’s as he began to amass what is likely the world’s large single collection of the marque. This time around he got his 13 Lincoln ML II’s, including two of the three he had originally sold, plus 34 more"...[

I have an old magazine article from when Daniels was alive. If anyone has a car from there and wants to see the article, let me know and I'll post it. It has some pics of his Continentals...not mine.
