    Default Battery

I am in need of a battery for my Mark II. The last local place I bought from is out of business. Does anyone know of a local place (Southern California, Mira Loma 91752) that I could get one from?

If nothing local where do you all get a battery?

Antique Auto Battery has reproduction batteries that fit exactly the MKII box and hold down bracket. They are maintenance free optima batteries enclosed in a fluid free case.

I got my battery from them 3 or 4 years ago. It's a group 32n, it does not have the Continental star on it (last time I talked with them they were considering making a case with the star but I don't know if anything further has been done). Rosen has the overlay that can be glued on and it looks pretty good is done properly. Maintenance consists of charging it with a 10amp charger (do not use anything above 10 amp) for a couple of hours once every three or four months.

I got a battery today thanks to Mark II Enterprises (Jack Rosen). He happened to have two for his cars and was not in a hurry to use them so he sold me one. I also got the fancy wrap, new hold down bracket, J-hooks, castle nuts.

I tried contacting Restoration Batteries (http://www.restorationbattery.com/) and was told that they are not taking new orders until August........ They said they have a new battery supplier who cant keep up with their orders.

Thanks to all for the help!

I received the battery wrap from Mark II Enterprises. It look nice but the 'star' is not yellow (it's black like the wrap). I called Mark II Enterprises and was told to use a canary yellow sharpie.. That did not work *sigh* Is there anyone whos bought this wrap and painted the star yellow? If so can you share on what you used?

    Thanks

I used One-Shot lemon yellow, it is available in small cans and is commonly used by pin stripers. It dries quickly and covers well. I had my wife do the actual painting because she has a much steadier hand than I do.
