    Lightbulb cuz vinnie

Hello, I am a new member retired and live in Stuart Florida. I presently own a 1940 Packard convertible and have been looking for a 1956 57 Mark 11 for quite sometime. As most owners know ,either the bodies or the frames have some rot. Still looking for the right vehicle . I am trying to educate myself on this car and am looking for help on reading the numbers on the body plate for the Mark 11.
    One vehicle has a code
    serial # C56A1710
    Body spec 11-1E6L-118-7
    Style 11-60A
Any help in understanding what these codes mean will be greatly appreciated. Cuz Vinnie

    Vinnie:
Be sure and check underneath the car to make certain some of the frame member braces are not rusted through--this frame could have been rehabbed due to rust damage. This car could also have wheels rubbing against the exhaust. Just check it out very thoroughly.
    Welcome and best regards, John

A in the VIN is November 55.
11 Body color is deep grey, 1 is leather/leather, E is deep grey biscuits, 6 is white bolsters, L is deep grey welts, I don't get the 118-7. The first number is supposed to be the day of the month and the last number is supposed to be the production number that day. Could they be reversed? Were there 118 cars built in one day?

    Default new vehicle

Hello group. I pulled the trigger and bought my first Mark 11. I am asking for some info as to where I can get the best prices on Mark 11 parts and accessory's, Shop manual, videos and anything else that I might need for repairing and fixing this car. I would also appreciate info on the builders plate on this car.
    Seriel # C56C2571
    Body 13-1F6M-127-13
    Style 11-60A
After following these cars for quite some time I believe I purchased right. The underside of the car is almost rust free, leaky transmission, no oil pressure on instrument cluster. It will probably need a repaint since someone did a really sloppy job.
I am looking forward to reading as much of the forum news that I can get.
Really happy to be on board and hope that I will not ask too many stupid questions.
    Thanks in advance
