    Default #1832 now in Minnesota

    Hello,

We bought Mark II C56A1832 from Joe Bonaiuto in Maryland, and the car is now in Minnesota.

We were looking for a "driver" and this car fits the bill. We'll do our bit, and keep it going.

We think this car has an interesting history, and we'll post an update in the Vehicles History section.

This week I got daily-driver wheel covers for 1832. Now the pristine Mark II wheel covers are in the trunk. That's unfortunate but I'd never find replacements of the same quality. I don't want to drill holes in them either.

I was browsing this site and came across photos of C56C2514 wearing Lincoln wheel covers that look okay:

A little research showed they are part number D3VY-1130-D, the standard wheel covers on 1973 and 1974 Continentals.

So I bought a used set of four on ebay. One still has the Ford sticker that says "D3VY-1130-EB 11/02/72". Not cheap, $254 delivered, but ebay listings for single Mark II wheel covers are way more than that.
