Default Bulgari Collection & BCA meet 2016 Allentown, PA

I just returned with the family from a trip to Allentown, PA. The Nicola Bulgari estate was host to the 2016 Buick Club of America 50 anniversary meet July 27-30, 2016. Here are some of my pictures from the event. The Bulgari complex features Nicola's fantastic car collection in several warehouses, focusing on 1930s-40s American makes. Although I didn't see a Mark II, there were Lincolns, Buicks, Nashs, Hudsons, among many others. I was told he owns about 150 cars, with another 150 in Italy. I get the impression he's a TRUE CAR GUY, not just someone collecting a bunch of steel. He also has top-notch mechanical, fabrication/body & upholstery shops. We had tours of the facilities, with the employees on hand to talk and answer any questions about the collection and work they do. The staff used to restore for others, but now it's only for the Bulgari vehicles. One project they're working on is a super-rare 1940 Graham model 107 Sharknose. In the photos, you'll see the fenders and parts vehicle at the body shop. Also see the show car (at the upholstery shop) undergoing it's concourse restoration. Overall, it was a perfect location for the Buick meet. Enjoy the pictures!

    Dave,

Thanks for the great pictures. I've been to the Bulgari collection in Allentown and it is not to be missed. I was planning to attend the BCA event this past weekend but didn't due to the weather. From the blue skies in your photos, it looks like I made a bad call.

I just came back from the Rolls Royce and Bentley national meet in Asheville, NC. A friend of mine attended the Buick meet at the Bulgari Collection and was telling us a lot of interesting details. He said he drove his Bentley to the Buick meet since he didn't want to return home before going to the meet in Asheville. If anyone asked why he drove a Bentley to the meet rather than a Buick, he said that he told them his eyesight was poor and he grabbed the wrong "B" car.
