It is Dark Blue with Blue Biskets, white bolsters, blue piping and white headliner.

If anyone knows where this car sold sold new or any other info I would love to know about it.
I have a rolling chassis (with engine, trans) up in Washington state but don't have the vin for that chassis. The body is somewhere on a different chassis. When I can get that info I will post it.
Thanks.. info added to my list and will be posted on the next publication.
I just went through the dealer listing hoping to find the 1301 listed by dealer but no luck. We'll keep looking. Have you tried to get the production order or an invoice?

    Chuck,
I have not tried to get the invoice for the Mark II yet, but plan to do that. I have the invoice for '57 T-Bird and learned good info from it.

Interesting search today.. Went through every major city in the US on Craigslist looking for Mark IIs to add or update on the list. (I have a nice little Firefox thingy that allows you to search in large groups). I found quite a few in different parts, most of which didn't list the serial numbers. In each case I sent a response telling them what we were doing with the registry and asking them to check out the MKIIF. I also found a way to get a note to Mattress Mack (Jim McIngvale) in Texas (the Elvis Car) makeing the same introduction and asking if he could help with the serial number and perhaps a photo or two. We'll see if I get any responses.

It may be a good idea to start getting the engine #s, I think they are about 25 lower than the chassis ser#.

Lowel was tracking them at one time.

They get further apart the higher the serial number. My engine number and Production Order are #137. My car's serial number is 1126. That accounts for the pre-production cars that had production engines.

Could be a nightmare if you have to account for dealer warranty replacements (if there ever were any) mixed in there too.

My understanding it that only the factory installed 368's that were hand picked for the MkII's got a SN.

It would be interesting to see how many MkII's still have MKII #ed 368's. Not very difficult to find a Merc 368 for replacement.
