    Default Front Speaker Replacement

I need to replace 1494?s front speaker. I would appreciate your recommendations.

I made a Masonite adapter and installed two speakers as I have no package shelf.

I'm hoping to find a front speaker that will fit into the front console.

Pat: Do you just need it repaired? I just looked under "services" (speakers) in Hemmings Motor News and there are still two or three places that recone speakers. I have never had this done before but it is an option once you get the speaker removed.

Out of the Mark II Encyclopedia. Looks like it says a 6 x 8 or 5 x 7 universal size will work.

Holger, thanks for the photos. I believe I found a speaker that meets those specs (at Walmart). I'll make a full report!
