We are definitely in a buyer's market....

The collector car market is now a buyer's market. My observation is that at auctions cars are getting bid up only as high as dealers take them. Occasionally some billionaire Texan will go crazy to get a car, but the market for the last 6 months for Sellers has been dreadfull. If you're a buyer now is your time. Here's a picture of a car that went for $20 K at Mecum Schaumburg, IL. The car needs some work, especially the interior...but it's a good driver right now as is... and for ONLY $20K. I agree. $20, 350 out the door. And 1466 sold at Auburn Fall 2019 for under $11,000. Those cars were a steal. Also many Mark II 's are for sale on eBay. There seem to be many cars available at reasonable prices; simply supply and demand. John

I was there and looked it over and it does need a complete new interior but it sure was a bargin at $20K. The buyer from Las Vegas knows nothing about these so I went over the car wiith him.

To fix this car up corectly would take $50 or $60,000 which will put his investment right about where I think the prices are now for nice examples.

Lots of things always need fixed such nas windows not working etc also and this car had the window switches wired wrong.

I was surpriced that the fuel indicator light worked.

Hopefully a lot of the Mark II's that are selling cheap these days will get fixed up properly and the prices will get up where they deserve to be.

I tried to read the vin number but it was a bit dark and room didn't allow me to open the door wide enough to see it.

If it's any consolation, #1 condition concours examples have climbed roughly 75% higher over last 3 years. But yes, the driver quality vehicles have taken a beating, especially 1950s cars in general.
