Always love the Continental grill on the '40 Fords. My wife was judging at the Glenmoor Gathering and had a '37 Ford pick-up in her class and commented that she's like to have a classic pickup. That's all it took.
Now she has 4 vehicles that are stick shifts and mine are all automatics.
Do you have any idea how difficult it is to find a '40 or '41 Ford pick-up that hasn't be chopped, lowered or had a crate Chebbie 350 stuck in it?

Pickup trucks are great for going grocery shopping. :)
You just throw all the stuff in the back.

Oh? It looks like the previous owner didnt like the original distributor. Otherwise still quite stock.
The box looks like nothing was ever in it since it was repainted.

Next time you're in town, we'll all have dinner.
Thanks for the heads-up, Jim, I wouldn't have found it without you?
The truck is currently located around the corner from Shelly.

As a matter or fact I just noticed the one picture where you can see a driveway going into a garage. Interesting.... it's the same place where Dave (CarMan) and I rent space to store our cars. Most all cars in there are covered so you don't know exactly what other people have there, but I have a good idea who the owner of that truck is....

Barry -
I like your choice of pre-war pickups. I think the styling of the '41 makes it one of the best looking trucks of that era. Hopefully, my trucks will look as pretty as your does someday:) (One truck has the Ford flathead V8, the other has the Ford straight six)

Ron, didn't know you were into them. Mine is about 4 hours away, on its way out of Chicago. My friend Shawn has it on my open trailer. It won't fit inside my fancy one. I'm hoping it's the last time it's ever on a trailer, short of shipping it to distant shows.

Got it tonight! Took it for a short ride. I'm a little cramped for space, but it'll do. The vehicle was fairly represented. There is some bubbling under the paint in a couple of places, but you really have to look for it.
The rest of it is beautiful. It will need a new gear set as it tops out at 45. I may take it out to our favorite cruise-in tomorrow.
