Sunday went out the Illinois Railways Museum car show. Being that this is a railroad museum they have lots of trains, steam, electric, diesel, street cars, electric buses, etc. This is one of their toys that they occasionally bring out and play with.

As a side note you may have notice in the news how some of our illustrious leaders are talking about how nice it would be if we could somehow get our typical passenger trains to run at 100MPH or maybe a little more. Well this train can do and did just that, all one needs to done is look back in history to the mid 1930’s , when this train was built, to see how its done.:D

And being that this was a car show the museum was filled with cars, lots of model T’s, Corvairs, plus VW’s, Packerd’s, Avanti’s ,Nash Metropolita’s and all the other usual stuff you would expect to see.
Of course in addition there were also two Mark II’s.

Shelly brought his out and it was good to have a chance to see and talk to him in person. His tinted windows show up well in this picture but are not that noticeable standing next to it. Needless to say the cars attracted a fair amount of attention.:)
