We had our Mark II in a benefit show today at the Automobile Driving Museum in El Segundo, CA. El Segundo is an LA suburb, immediately south of the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The ADM is a hidden treasure; doesn't seem to be widely known, even in Southern California car circles. They have a collection of approximately 200 cars, with about 150 on display at any given time. The collection is eclectic, but especially strong in vintage Packards. No Mark II in the collection, but a 1941 Lincoln Continental and a slab side that belongs to Anthony Davis (of USC football fame, note his helmet on the car). The special part of the museum is what the name suggests: every weekend they allow visitors to drive/ride in some of the cars in the collection. Anyone that ever has a lay-over and time to kill at LAX, I recommend the ADM--it's just blocks away from the south side of the airport

The featured marque at today's show was Shelby (the Shelby factory was just a couple of blocks away from the ADM's site). And I thought GT 350s were rare!

that's what Barrett-Jackson and Carroll himself would have you believe until he pulls some more "continuation series" VIN #s out of his (hat) 40 years after the fact...;)

Cool concept for a museum!
