Tinted glass

Tinted glass was one of the punchouts on the PO along with A/C, 8.20 tires, tropical battery, H.D. shocks, front bumper with license plate, etc.. Anyone have any idea how many cars had tinted glass?

I believe all the AC cars came with tinted glass. I noticed in the data base that some cars have "glass" listed under "other", and those cars don't have AC. So it would be a matter of counting the number of AC cars and adding the number of cars that have "glass" listed in the database.
Am I correct in my assumption?

Alot in the data base showing AC or glass. I have read in a few places a guesstimation of AC units was about 75% and with tinted glass of other units as an option at no extra cost it has to be quite a high percentage I would think. Whats up with the tropical battery?

Some cars had no a/c, but had tinted glass.

As I said in my post above, aren't the cars with no AC, but with tinted glass, designated as such in the database?

That's a great point. As I was updating the lastest batch from the later MKIIE I noticed a "CG" designation. I came to the conclusion that it meant Clear Glass and futher jumped to the next assumption that CG would be unique. Maybe not?....

The Mark II Encyclopedia confirms your assumption, except there is a typo in the directory and GG is designated as Clear Glass, but it's obviously supposed to be CG.
