I was on youtube watching an episode of Boyd Coddington's hotrod builds. In the season 5 episode 4 there was a point where Boyd was in the Astor Classics Event Center/ museum. One of the cars was introduced as Rita Hayworth's '41 Lincoln Continental, but what was shown was a very nice 56 Mark 2. It is white and has the a/c nostrils. Anyone ever been there to see this car and scoop the data plate info?

Sean:
I couldn't find the link for EPS 504 on American Hotrods. Could you please post the youtube link? Thanks.
John

Here's the link to their website:

I didn't see a Mark II in their Automotive Museum section. Of course, that doesn't mean that they don't have a II.

I've heard rumors of Hayworth having a Mark II, although a LC Cabriolet seems to me to be more like her style.

According to this in 2008 this 1941 Lincoln Continental was auctioned by Astor on June 28, 2008 for $209,000

Here are comments from the RM Auction listing:

Although the story of Rita Hayworth’s Lincoln Continental continues to be riddled with mystery, the case for the Astor Collection’s car may be quite convincing. Ultimately, one of the best assessments was delivered by Jim and Cheryl Farrell, who wrote, “This may be one of those cases where the folklore passed down from each owner to the next turns out to also be fact. The delivery details, prior photos, location and the car itself all seem to say this really is Rita Hayworth’s ’41 Continental!”

And if you look closely, BEHIND (or rather, on the opposite side of) the MKII is a '41 Lincoln Continental . . . hence, the comment.

Sean-

You're not alone. I would have thought the exact same thing, but I had heard of her Continental (the '41) before.
