I see Chris Dunn over at Lincoln land has a set of N.O.S.MK2 hubcaps for sale on e-bay.Sit down folks.OK, $4,000 for the set.Aren't you glad you were sitting down?
I once scared a pal telling him that we'd purchased a complete set for $5,000 but then made him feel better when I told him they included the car too.

This is why someone must come up with a way for our caps to stay on. Barry thinks the answer is getting new, stiffer wheels. I've heard of drilling holes for a couple of screws through to the wheel, but do you really want to drill holes in those jewels? The insane value of these caps makes them a great target for thiefs. If your car doesn't kick them off, your local hubcap thief is ready to do the job. What's the answer?
Shelly - I think you've already answered this question...as painful as it may be, we drive around with $15 plastic hubcaps from JC Whitney. They're the solution for a 20-20 presentation of our cars. When we're sitting in or next to the car, then we break out the real deal and display the car as we all know it should look.

A set of 5 sold on Ebay last week for around $1000. I bought a set last year thinking they were originals...I should have known that they weren't when I got them for $300. They look like Mark II hubcaps from a distance, but they aren't...they will work for transportation purposes, keep the originals in the trunk for shows!

The '58 Mark III hubcaps look very similar, but are for 14" wheels.
