Don't get confused as this is not the same Dr George in Ft Lauderdale from whom I bought my car.

I just returned from this gigantic car show in Indian Wells Cal. 872 cars registered for display. Row after row of cars all in the hot desert sun. Almost impossible to walk through and see them all. I should have brought a canteen ("water, water") to make it through! See the picture:

Don't let the snow on the mountains fool you, it was hot!.
Terrific, gorgious cars -- but the news is, not one was a Mark II. Dozens of 1955-57 Bel-Airs, dozens of GTOs, several Continental slabs and the suicide door convertibles. So many Cadillacs!!! Why do you think our car was not there? Is it a sign that we have a rare item or a disfavored one?? Remember this is not some neighborhood show on a summer week-end.... 872 cars and not one a MKII !!!!.
Incidently, I'm taking delivery of a Mark IV next month, so I was on the look out for that car. Yes, there was one, but only one:

Nice car... hope mine is as nice!

Shelly, you going to get some gansta wheels for yours too :)
What a great venue and yes 872 cars is like taking a couple hours to see the Smithsonian.
Is this going on all weekend?
As for your car coming next month, the pictures of the car looked great. You might be pretty satisfied with your find. :)

Lucky, unfortunaly for us Michiganders we have to wait a few months until we are able to drive our rides. I must say though we have some good shows being the motor city, and nothing tops woodward on summer weekends and also the dream cruise.

I hate what the Dream Cruise has become. Too many SUVs with passengers living vicariously through the only ones that should be out there, the cruisers.
If you're in Michigan on Father's Day weekend the Motor Muster is an awesome two-day event. It's held amongst the historic buildings of Greenfield Village. It's a two-day show so we have to leave our cars overnight.
The Motor Muster covers everything from mini cars to antique garbage trucks wit mopeds, vintage bicycles and motorcycles thrown in. If you've never been there you'll have to see The Henry Ford Museum. Might as well turn it into a long weekend and visit the Benson Ford Research Library nestled between the museum and the village.

We had a bunch of Mark IIs there a few years ago.

Hey somebody stole the roof off one!
Do you know the owner of the green one? Were they local? I've always liked that color.

That belongs to my friend Al Gorosh, who has signed up here, but never posted. It's a very nice '57.

Nice car. I thought it might be 57. I think that was one of the new colors in 57.
