Ok, which one of you lucky Michigan guys scooped this up? I exchanged emails with the owner last week to get the Vin but he responded that the package was sold and on it's way to Michigan.

I remember building Heath Kit Radio kits. THis looks like a DIY Mark II kit. Were instructions included?

I saw this ad at least one year ago, the guy wanted $11,000 for the whole lot. He sent me pictures of the parts and they were impressive. If the new owner is reading and wants to sell the water temp and oil pressure gauges, I am interested.

I believe Tim, who registered here recently, bought that batch of beautiful parts.

I tried to make contact a long time ago and the owner never responded, I asumed it sold. A few months ago when it reappeared on craigslists I sent two more emails requesting additional photos and information, again no response. In my opinion the parts alone were worth $8500.00, the car was free! I had intentions of trying purchase the car, shipping was the main issue.

Just yesterday I received an email thanking me for my interest in the car and that it had sold and was on its way to Michigan.

Oh well...

You know I must of emailed this guy two dozen times in the past four months. I would hear from him about once a month saying that he was in a car accident, then the following month he would be out of town, and the next month he was ill in the hospital. Then he emails me telling me somebody has put down a deposit. What the !!!! Very frustrating. Yes, this was the mother load. But I should of just bought the car months ago when I first made contact with him instead of waiting for questions to be answered first. Oh well

Guys don't regret not making a deal. Many times the best deal one can have is the deal that doesn't go through.

This sounds vaguely like a man located in Albuquerque who posted an ad for a '56 Mark II in the local paper. He was asking $4500. I called him and after talking to him he said that he actually had two Mark II's and he would sell both of them for the same price. After about 10 phone calls I finally gave up. He always had some lame excuse as to why he couldn't show me the cars. I couldn't figure out why someone would pay for an ad in the paper and then be so irresponsible in showing the goods.
