I just took a look at the Mark II data base, which is listed here on this site, and noticed that the car I am restoring was originally sold to a gentleman from a dealership called "Freeport Lincoln -Mercury Company". I did a google serach and didn't come up with anything, can anyone provide me with information on what part of the country this car came from.

I have also read posts on this site where members have said that they looked up a specific VIN number in order to see specific color combinations for both the exterior and interiors of specific cars. Is this information accessable and if so where?

Thanks

It is, in fact Freeport, Ill. There are 3 cars listed sold from that dealership - M3470, F3032 and A1757.

On future list I'll try to get a listing of the dealerships.

Thanks Jim for the link, $9.00, I just might get it.

Chuck thanks for the information! It would be great to find out how this car made it to the west coast. The guy I bought it from was selling it for his girlfriend, she got it in the divorce settlement. So needless to say he had no idea of any history on the car.
