I realize this is almost like acknowledging your family pet’s birthday but it just occurred to me that, based on the vin info, my car was born today, 54 years and counting.
On top of that .. I'm only about 6 weeks older than the darn car. Think I'll celebrate with some octane booster... for the car, not me. :D

Chuck, I got my drivers license 35 years ago on January 6, 1975 (yesterday). I drove a 1955 Plymouth there with manual steering. I had to parallel park that thing. Gas was 44 cents for regular. Now, I have a car 1 year newer then back then. Wish I had a Mark II in 1975, but there were few in Tucson, AZ where I lived then. I only saw 1 in the 1970's that I remember.

Phil, you remember the day you got you license? What that your birthday, Jan 6?
I honestly don't remember the first Mark II that I saw. I do know that when I lived in Apex, NC 1965-1969 there were no Mark IIs on those dirt roads that I remember. LOL

Chuck, it's Jan 3.. You should see Apex, NC now, it is an extension of Cary/Raleigh.

My car's B-Day is coming up. It's either the 18th or 19th. Can't remember which day. The old man turns 54.

Nick, Looks like the 19th from your vin.
Phil, I google earthed it not too long ago and I saw it spread out a bit. We had 1 hardware store in Apex then and it was a great place. Love the home prices compared to CA.
