Hello from California!
Found your site while trying to find the original owner of the Mark II that my friend is working on.
We looked up the car in the Mark II encyclopedia set - Unsuccessfully. Although, we were able to find the original color info from the VIN numbers.
Jim has already restored his own personal Mark II and then started this one for his second personal restoration.
Originally, Jim wanted to make it fully retractable. Yesterday, we concluded that with the roof being 59 inches wide, and the trunk opening 56 inches, we concluded the amount of cutting on the car portion of the trunk would be way to labor intensive. With the soft top, being from a 1962 Ford convertible, the project could continue as planned!
When complete, it should be a automatic convertible, beige and brown. I'll attempt to catch as much info as possible of the job!
