This seems to be a good, honest driver. Besides the underside, I can't really see where the car starts to unravel a whole lot. It's a shame but I think we might see this car reoccurring in e-bay.

I've been helping my uncle find a Mark II. He has his eye on this one, which I don't believe is the right car for him (needs a new interior, several equipment problems, uncertain state of the undercarriage due to quicky paint or undercoat, uncertain quality of paintwork/body work if any). Nevertheless, its hard to convince someone who has yet to restore a car that its much cheaper to buy one that's fully sorted.
Anybody know anything else about this one?
Appears its been for sale for a long time. The Database indicates that it was for sale on 1/11, and I believe its done Ebay a few times.
If anyone has seen it or knows anything about it, please contact me.
Thanks, Joe Northrop

Tell your uncle that some of us have been on the winning end of car collecting by purchasing our cars done. Truly, the only one that wins in a restoration is the shop that did the work and the new owner. The guy that pays for the restoration gets screwed on a regular basis. Even if you do all the work yourself you end up working for peanuts. The ability to jump in and go on a trip far outweighs the pain of having a car that's in a million pieces that you can't use.

The best part of Mark II ownership is driving it, not just looking at it in the garage.

Thanks, Barry...I will pass along your wise counsel. He actually met you and your wife last summer when you were running the show at St Joe. Seeing your beautiful convertible convinced my aunt that finding a Mark II wasn't such a bad idea ... afterall.
Best, Joe

I'm glad it made a good impression on her. They are beautiful cars. If she likes the convertibles, maybe a Collins car might fit the bill.

These people cannot seem to get rid of this car.

I think that is because of the claim that this is a 22000 mile origional not going well with the photos. From one end to the other there are red flags to that claim and with what it costs to restore these cars, people are staying away from the risk. I think there is much more to the story there....
