eBay Item #330379677976 shows a repacement unit for the Tredle-Vac. Has anyone installed one of these or done a GOOD disk brake conversion on the front axle?

Fix what you have. There's nothing wrong with them. Changing to the unit you showed will not be a simple swap as nothing will line up with the original holes.
There's also nothing wrong with the brakes on a Mark II. Properly set up they haul the car down in speed quite nicely.
A dual chamber master cylinder would be nice for a daily driver, but hardly necessary for the miles we put on these beasts.

OR you could look at the very first thread in this section to see what you could do yourself.:D:D

:(I just wish I knew someone locally who could re-arch a brake shoe

Places that service large trucks still provide that surface.
I know a guy that does it if you can provide accurate measurements of your drums. UPS them back and forth and you'd probably have them back in a week.
