I need the "Insert - Oil Filter Mounting Bolt", part #EAA 6890-C, Steel - 3/4-16x5/8 Long - Used With Element Type Oil Filter (Part Description 6.4.39 In The '56, '57, '58 Chassis Parts Catalog) To Convert My Mark II's Existing Spin On Oil Filter Back To The Original Canister Type Filter.

I have a case of 24 Canister Type Oil Filters That I'll Never Use Up On Just My '56 T-Bird. Is it really that hard to get a good fit? Whose spin on filter adapter did you use? I have a Fram version and my plan was to use it once I've gone through the 6 cartridge types I have.

I use the spin ons (Motorcraft FL1A) and have no problems with it.

I haven't had any problem with the spin-on type filters, I just need the oil filter housing bolt that will let me switch back to the cannister cartridge type filter since I have quite a few and I use them on my '56 T-Bird also...
