Happy Thanksgiving to all the forum members and their families. And thank you Shelly for giving us Mark II owners a home and a place to gather and offer information pertinent to our cars.

At the end of a busy week and holiday, I retreated to my computer to visit the MKII Forum which has been a source of much enjoyment, information and comraderie. I am thankful this day to Shelly and the other members who share so much to enhance our hobby. Can you imagine what is was like for Buddy Holiday and other veterans of the MKII hobby who didn't have the internet to put people together?

Buddy was very helpful. I called him many times for advice and he was happy to answer any questions I had. He was and still is an icon in the Mark II world.

I went to Buddy's ranch in November, 1999. My now wife got all dressed up. Come to find out his place in Apple Valley, CA was literally in the middle of no-where. We expected to find many Mark II's, but he sold all his cars to Last Chance in Arizona just before my visit. Still, I bought an original Owners Manual and Data book. But it was clear he had moved on from Mark II's . I was very disappointed after all that anticipation. When did he pass away?
