I just received my n.o.s. passenger side rocker moulding. Has anyone replaced theirs? I was wondering if there are any tricks to make the job easier or safer as I don't want to damage the new molding. I have needed this piece since I purchased the car as the old one was present but in bad shape. Thanks for any imput.

It's actually a simple task. The molding has clips with studs along its length, if I remember correctly. You simply remove the nuts from the inside of the rocker panel and extract the old clips.
Buy new ones if you can as the clips lose tension and break over time.
Roughly place the clips along the molding and slide into position as you go. Secure the center bolt and the rest is just a matter of tightening them evenly.
Before you install the new one, hold it up in place and make sure there is no body damage that will keep it from laying flat.

Thank you. I will order new clips.
