I'm sharing some photos I took today at the annual survivor car show. This is a collection of unrestored originals. The top award class is the Zenith. That means the highest degree of preservation for a 40 plus year old car. Basically a car that ALL NOS. First few shots are some of those cars. Remaining shots are others not quite at that level, but still considered unrestored. This was a small part of the larger Bloomington Gold all Corvette show in St. Charles, IL. Last few cars I thought my dad Shelly would like.

I have a couple of cars that would fit right in.
Actually, one of our most prestigious Concours is Eyes on Design where survivors are often winners. It's just a beauty contest.:)

I am just a bit confused by the above statement.
IF a car is a survivor, doesn't that mean it is ALL original? ie, no replaced parts?
What I understand NOS to mean is a New Old Stock item, ie an item never attached to a car.
If a car was all NOS, then, again in my mind, that would mean everything was replaced with new, OEM parts ...
Or am I confused somehow (not that that would be hard to do ... ) :)

You're not confused. A car put back together with NOS parts would be restored and not a survivor. A survivor has almost all of its original parts.
