Can anyone provide me with a copy of the Mark II encyclopedia? Also at what serial number did the start of 57 Marks start?
They are scarce. Ebay might be one place, but prepare to pay big $$$. Someone here is in touch with the author to see if we can obtain cd-rom copies or something since it's not in print anymore.

Believe to be C56K-3414 last known to be in Albuquerque, NM

Yes according to the Lincoln Buyer's Guide published in 1990, the first "57" model is C56K3414 or C56K3418.
This book also states that the first production Continental was C566975. I always thought they started at 1001 (not 975)

John et al. - Barry did some research on the production numbers/sequence, etc. that seems to clear up much of the confusion over the production numbers. The information is in one of his post on another thread: "earliest production dates" p. 3, #27, dated 9-24-09.
