Does anyone know the easiest way, or best way to remove the out side rear-view mirror?

Will, do you mean from it's mounting on the car or the mirror from the stand?
I think you are talking about the mounting. If you have the correct trims on your car... as the chrome trim comes around the windshield, there should be a banding strap about an inch long that bridges the windshield trim from the mirror pedestal. Upon removing the band strap (you're on your own here as I just saw this correct assembly and I'm missing that small band on my car) there's a phillips head screw that fastens the mirror pedestal to the body. Hope that helps.

I had some straps made. Cost me $50 ea to make. Might still have one laying around.

If you did have one around that would be great. Does it just slide on? I would assume that you would first remove the mirror pedestal, slide the trim on the windshield trim, re-install the mirror and slide the band back over the screw.
Am I close?
