View Full Version : Manuals
I will be needing a shop manual etc. Has anyone purchased them from E-Bay from a company called "Faxom"? They are obviously reprints but is the picture quality and diagrams decent? They also have a copy of the owners manual. Any better places to get these? What others? parts manual maybe?

Nico,
I bought the Technical Manual from Faxon and it is a reprint but the quality is good. It was exactly that.. a technical manual. It's a lot about tear down and rebuild with references to lots of Ford/Linc tool numbers. It's a great book to have but not all the answers are there. Keep an eye out for the Buddy Holiday book ... "Quesstions about your Mark II.. ask Buddy". It's geared more toward problems and fixes. It also has some wonderful info about the breed and history. It's out of print but I found one on Amazon and shook at the $159 price but some of the info is "priceless" almost. :) I find that if you use the two together it works best.
I have my original owners manual and other than the fact that I have the original it's little more than a start up guide that touches on a few of the functions of the controls within the car.
I also bought the body manual that I find very helpful with body parts and soft trims. I'm still going to get a transmission manual and probably pick up the carbuerator one that covers a number of Lincolns and the Mark II.
Hope this helps.
Thanks Chuck, I just found a web site MKII enterprises. They also have manuals including "the best of the Continental by the late Buddy Holiday 20 years of technical". The price is only $40 so I don't presume this is the same or maybe a reprint? The body manual you refer to would be the Master Chassis Parts Catalogue?
