We had a record 9 Mark II's attend the LCOC Eastern National Meet in Lancaster,PA. this past week and out of the 9, 3 were Factory Two-Tones! One was dark bronze top with medium bronze body, mine, and another which was the reverse colors of my car, white roof with deep gray body. (although the roof is presently painted gray) The meet was held indoors in the convention center, which is attached to the hotel. We had 74 Lincolns and Continentals from 1934 on up on the floor.

All 9 were all beautiful. (am I prejudice? NAH...) LOL One was from Canada with only 7,000 original miles. The LCOC photographer huddled them all together and took pictures of them while he stood up on a ladder getting an aeriel shot and then another with each of us standing by our car's driver's side front fender, and another shot of us owners standing in front of the cars holding up our hands with two fingers (peace sign style) signifying the number 2.

I was ecstatic to see so many together.

I thought about making the 6 hour (one-way) trip, but the wife had other plans for me. I'm sorry I missed it.

I hope that the LCOC (National) does a nice write up on the Mark II's / owners attending in Lancaster. Come to the think of it, the last 6 issues have been very SKIMPY on Mark II's. Hopefully, they have the pics to put into the issue. I'm sorry I missed it and didn't drive mine down.

:cool:The LCOC doesn't seem to say much about them. Have to check the next issue. Those cars are beautiful. Wish there were more around here.

Mike,

I think it was a few Junes ago that they dedicated comments that month to the Mark II. I think it was to honor it's 50th anniversary. Maybe it was June of '05 or '06?

They really don't give the coverage to Mark II or the "forgotten" Lincolns of '58-'60. It's really turned, in my opinion, into a showplace for '61-'69 suicide door Lincolns.

Too bad, really. :(
